On Saturday 8/15 & Sunday 8/16/15 there will be ‘Obon’ specials on small to medium sized Koi at Kodama Koi Garden in Saddle River, New Jersey. Select tanks will be up to 20% off (not all Koi are on sale).
What is ‘Obon Special?’
‘Obon’ is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one’s ancestors. Obon festival starts on August 15th and is officially a three-day festival, however most commonly the Obon festival is observed for the entire week and often referred to as “Obon Week”. Much like Memorial Day and other holidays in the United States, during “Obon Week” there are many specials, sales and promotions all over Japan.
